January was a busy month!

Gabriola has been getting fresh roasted coffee delivered every friday, for almost 2 months now.  Our fellow islanders are embracing red roaster beans and the delivery service is continuing to grow.

In January we attended the Gabriola Health Care Auxillary's - 2010 The Year of the Clinic kick off event.  There we were able to fundraise directly to support the community efforts to build a permanent medical clinic here on Gabriola.  We continued to raise money for GHCS the whole month of January with a donation from every pound.

Remember Gabriolans if you order through us then pick up on fridays, at PHC or the office in the village for GHCS, $4 from every pound goes to that community organization.

Here at Red Roaster we are having a great holiday season!

Fresh roasted coffee for the holidays!

Wow-what a week we've had here.  Our first (official) Gabriola delivery day was a great success.  Again, our fellow islanders showed awesome support for red roaster. The Christmas orders are steadily coming in and we will be accommodating that by having an extra roast the week of the holidays.

We are also in Demitasse (Blanshard @ Johnson) and Rising Star (Broad St) in Victoria!  They are serving up red roaster espresso drinks and have our bag of beans for sale.  Tell all our Victoria friends to head on downtown and grab some fresh roasted coffee!

Victoria

I recently went to Victoria to help spread the red roaster love.  We have some great opportunities that I think will develop rather quickly-like ummm...next week.  I will let you know when it's official and where you can get your share of fresh roasted beans while in Victoria.  The good people of Victoria will also have a home delivery option starting up here in the new year.

Speaking of home delivery, it has been going well on Gabriola.  Darrin roasted today and I will be out in the morning dropping them off.  It has been well received, this is our 2nd time out and it has already grown...plus, it isn't even our official launch yet.  The 'launch' happens this coming Saturday at the Gabriola Elementary School fair.  There will be beans for sale and a ton of information on us, our community fundraising initiatives and how you can get involved.

Going Live!

It's so exciting....red roaster is about to go live with the website and the blog.  I will be sharing my cupping notes with you as we go along.  As well, this is a great place to check back for upcoming events,  available bean varietals and in general what is shaking in the coffee world.  Looking forward to seeing you back here soon!
